Re: Approval of Polyethylene Pipe for Use on SCDOT Projects

Dear Mr. Crumpler:

The following polyethylene pipe sizes and types manufactured by Crumpler Plastic Pipe, Inc. have been approved for use on SCDOT projects in 1996, provided that each shipment meets the applicable AASHTO specifications.

A revised approval sheet reflecting these additions will be distributed in July. This letter will serve as evidence of approval until then.

A certification similar to the one attached that you provided to me as an example must be submitted with each shipment for each SCDOT project.

SCDOT field inspectors will sample each shipment of pipe for in-house or independent testing. Shipments represented by samples that have failing test results will be rejected.
